The 46th Austrian Linguistics Conference originally planned for December 2020 and postponed due to the pandemic will take place

December 9 through 12

Due to the pandemic the conference will be an online event.



The Austrian Linguistics Conference has a long tradition of functioning as a venue for researchers in all areas and subfields of linguistics. This is also true for this year’s conference which will provide a forum for presentation and discussion of different research avenues in historical, general, and applied linguistics.

The conference features thematic workshops and a general section (with 20min presentations and 10min QA sessions).

Due to the ongoing pandemic the ÖLT 2021 will be an online conference. All talks and workshops will employ Zoom meetings.  

System requirements:

  • Internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)  
  • Desktop, Laptop or Tablet computer
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in, USB plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth  
  • Webcam
  • supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari)

All keynotes use the same Zoom meeting, Workshops will be held at individual meeting rooms. There will be a joint meeting room for the general session.

Links to the meeting rooms are only accessable to registered attendees. You can access the rooms by clicking on the title of the respective workshop, talks or keynote in the conference program. Workshop meeting rooms are also linked in the workshop summary.
